I’ve been a therapist for 40 years!! During that time, I have had the good fortune of having hundreds of hours of tremendous training and supervision from leaders in the fields of:
- Ericksonian therapy: Steve Lankton, Bill O’Hanlon, Jeffrey Zeig
- NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP): Robert Dilts and Annie Linden
- Solution Focused Therapy: Steve deShazer and Insoo Kim Berg
- Structural Family therapy: Harry Aponte,
- Strategic Family Therapy: Jay Haley and Chloe Madanes,
- Energy Psychology: Roger Callahan, John Diamond, Fred Gallo, Greg Nicosia
- Couples work: John Gray, John Gottman
- EMDR: Francine Shapiro
- Polyvagal work: Stephen Porges
And during these past 40 years I have been working to integrate all of this training as well as the many other things I have learned such as the work of Dan Siegel. I have been working in the field of trauma for over 35 years both seeing clients with PTSD, CPTSD and DID as well as training therapists.
So now I want to pass this on to the next generation of therapists who want to work from a position of:
- seeing clients in non-pathologized manners,
- supporting and building their resources,
- providing tools for better solving the challenges of life,
- balanced with being present and holding space,
- balancing working with the mind, the body and the spirit.
I am offering small group consulting a supervision to clinicians and coaches that want to increase their mastery in an integrated holistic approach to working with individuals and couples informed by the theories and ideas I’ve described above (as well as other things I did not mention like narrative approaches and even things from CBT and Yoga and Improv).
In other words, I am bringing my entire self into the consultation room. One of the goals of these groups will be to help you bring your entire self into the therapy room with your clients in ways that serve your clients.
